My childcare hours are 6:30 am until 6:00 pm. Although my hours are until 6:00 pm, every family is under contracted hours so please make sure that you verify that I am available to stay open later for you if you need it (please never assume). I currently do not have any families that are contracted until 6:00 pm. If you need to have earlier drop off or later pick up then your contracted hours, there is additional fees for that.
I currently am not able to take on any schoolagers anymore during the school year. I’m just don’t have the equipment to handle the schoolagers very well. They tend to get bored and then everything just ends up being a complete mess. I hope everyone understands. 😊
My hours of operation are as follows:
Childcare hours are 6:30 am until 6:00 pm. My office hours are from 6:00 am until 6:30 pm. And 6:00 pm until 6:30 pm. I am old and I go to bed between 8:30 and 9:00 pm. Please understand that if I do not get back to you right away as I leave my phone out of my room and the ringer turned off. Taking care of kids all day exhausts me and I do wake up at 5:00 am every day. 😊
Rates are based on hours per week that you are contracted for. It may go up or down based on what your hours of care are in the previous 12 months and will be discussed on January 1st of every year. If your child is in my care for under 9 hours a day, you will be paying a lower rate than the family whose child is here from open to close. This is to discourage parents from having their child in care for more then 9 hours (this gives you a half hour commute time, each direction). With my background in psychology, I tend to agree that less hours in childcare, the better. Here is a great article on the psychology of childcare.
The tuition rates located on my Rates Page are used as a starting base.
I do not have a set amount of days that I put in my policy for sick or personal time. When I do get sick, I will let you know as soon as I can, and I try to make it up with a day that I originally had planned time off. Is this always possible, no but I really put an effort into it. Please see my calendar for more information of planned time off.
Winter weather effects everyone. If it’s not that bad, I do remain open. In the end, your child’s safety is more important then anything. I know that parents are depending on me for care. One thing that I do ask is that if driveway isn’t plowed, please do not plow over the end of the driveway and park in it. It makes for an icy and unplowable situation, which makes for a dangerous situation. Again, I do wake at 5 am and get out there as soon as possible, but the plow usually comes by shortly after opening (thanks city of Coon Rapids)!
What is my ratio?
My ratio that I prefer to sit with is as follows:
2 Infants under 12 months
1 Toddler over 12 months but under 23 months
5 Preschoolers between 24 months and 4 years old
2 Schoolagers (my own two)
This is my good spot and gives me the chance to be more 1 on 1 with your child.
Part time care
Full time care will always be my first priority. If you are a part time family, you will be offered the option of becoming full time before I fill the spot. If you decide that you will pursue other care, you will need to put in a written two week notice OR pay a two-week tuition buy out fee.
I consider part time care anything under 3 days a week and is has a rate of $40.00 per day tuition fee.
If you are pursuing other care, please make sure to let me know and put in your notice. I know that there are many other options out there and sometimes somewhere else will be a better option for you. No hard feelings. But I do ask for a two week notice OR a tuition buy out.
